Polaris Orchestra

In 2020, Jaman Dunn-Danger co-founded Polaris Orchestra with Nathaniel “Ace” Taylor and Gabrielle Skinner to ameliorate the exclusive nature of the orchestra and to increase racial and ethnic diversity on the stage. They now serve as the Music Director of the Washington DC-based orchestra, which provides high-quality music performance as a vehicle for social change and progress. Polaris’s roster supports more diverse personnel, with a goal of hiring as many minority musicians as possible. A cultural pillar in the DC area, the orchestra embodies musical excellence and strives to represent what an American orchestra can be.
